Joey gets Student of the Month again

Around the middle of May I got an email from Joey's teacher stating that she had chosen Joey to be the student recognized for that month. At their school they have a word each month and each teacher picks a student in their class that they feel has best represented that word and that student is recognized in an assembly. The word for May was EFFORT. I thought it was an especially nice one for Joey because he really has been through his struggles academically, but he has put so much effort into school. He trys really hard. When he was chosen his smile could have lit up the room. After the assembly they have some refreshments set up in the hallway for those students that were chosen and us parents get to join them and have a little time with our kids. It was really nice. We are so proud of our son!
