WES Camp

Joey got the privelage of attending WES (Whiskeytown Environmental School) the first week of March. It was available to all 5th and 6th graders. Since he is a big 5th grader this year he got to go. This camp is right up his alley. He absolutely loves all things Science. This was a a great experience for him. He was gone for 4 days. When we dropped him off they encouraged us parents to just drop them off and not go up with them. They had to be grown up and carry all of their own stuff. They just didn't want parents hanging on to their kids and kids hanging on to their parents I guess. They really wanted the time for the counselors to get their group of kids and get acquainted. I think it was a good idea. I don't think Joey had any problems leaving. In fact he didn't even say goodby! He just took off. Little twerp. As I was pulling away William started crying because he didn't like leaving Joey. All the way home he kept telling me to go back and get Joey. Poor little guy had a rough week with his big brother gone.

Looking all proud with all his gear as I dropped him in the parking lot.

Of course the siblings have to get in the picture too.

Joey showing us around. Had to get another shot of him.
